JUROJIN To Release Mini-Album
April 9, 2010London, England-based alternative prog-metallers JUROJIN have confirmed the release of their debut mini-album, "The Living Measure Of Time".
Produced in Baltimore by Drew Mazurek (LINKIN PARK, HIM, HEAD AUTOMATICA),the CD will be released on on the band's own Majestic Elder Recordings through ADA Global/Warner on June 7.
Commented guitarist Nic Rizzi:"This album is a means for us to hopefully put the name JUROJIN on the map and show people that metal has always been and will continue to be an ever-evolving genre. We have been pushing and developing our sound over the last year or so, especially since the addition of tabla to the lineup, and I genuinely believe what we are creating now is something truly unique. This is something that will reflect upon our music more and more with time. Watch this space."
Formed in 2008 as a musical experiment between friends, JUROJIN has played countless shows both in the U.K. and the U.S., "leaving audiences on both sides of the Atlantic spellbound with their diverse and captivating sound, the product of a rock singer, a classical Indian tabla player, a jazz bassist, and a metal guitar player," according to a press release.
JUROJIN recently welcomed critically acclaimed violinist extraordinaire Anna Phoebe (JETHRO TULL, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, PAUL RODGERS) to its ranks and she can now be seen performing with the band at select upcoming shows.
